Collaboration

Our charity builds relationships beyond our organisation, acting as the main point of networking for crafters, traders and taking part in many historical or educational projects. Those collaborations help us and the organisations involved to deliver our common vision and mission. Amber Othala aims to bring people together to honour and connect more with the land we all share with nature, by practical as well as fun, educational means. We are working with communities to improve local ecosystems through beach clean ups, improving health and wellbeing with sustainable guided foraging walks in local areas, and connecting with individuals and groups across Scotland to create collaborative public engagement events that help people connect with the past in exciting and fun ways. Our hands-on events, displays and projects offer the chance to interact with day-to-day aspects of Viking age life, acknowledging the way that past peoples worked in harmony with nature, despite often being at the mercy of it! Whether indoors or out in the elements, we want to inspire people to discover, explore, and enjoy the rich legacy of the many vital and important skills passed down by our ancestors.
